Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the CyberCert Silver certification grant.
Which certification level should I choose?
Choose based on your business size and needs. Bronze is ideal for solopreneurs and startups (1-10 employees), Silver for established SMBs (10-500 employees), and Gold for mid-size businesses (30-200 employees) requiring advanced security controls.
Is there any cost for the Silver certification?
No. The Silver certification is 100% sponsored by CyberCert through the Cyber Grants Alliance partnership. There are no hidden fees or additional charges for approved applicants.
How long does certification take?
The verification process typically takes 5-7 business days. Once approved, you can complete your certification on your own timeline with full access to the CyberCert Platform and resources.
Can I upgrade to a higher certification level later?
Yes. After completing your initial certification, you can upgrade to higher levels as your business grows. The Cyber Grants Alliance provides information about upgrade pathways during your certification journey.
What happens after I complete my certification?
You’ll receive a verifiable digital certificate that you can display to customers, partners, and insurers. You’ll also maintain access to continued support, resources, and the CyberCert Platform.
Who is eligible to apply?
U.S.-based small and midsize businesses, healthcare providers, CPA firms, government contractors, and organizations seeking CMMC readiness are eligible. Large enterprises (over 500 employees) and businesses outside the United States are not eligible.
