Cyber Grants Alliance (CGA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to making cybersecurity accessible to small and medium-sized businesses in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), is proud to announce its sponsorship of CMMC Day 2026, taking place May 4–5, 2026, at Hotel UMD in College Park, Maryland.

CMMC Day is the nation’s premier gathering for CMMC compliance professionals, defense contractors, assessors, and cybersecurity experts. The event brings together stakeholders from across the defense ecosystem to share knowledge, strategies, and solutions for navigating CMMC compliance.

Why CGA is Sponsoring CMMC Day 2026

CGA’s mission is to protect the Defense Industrial Base by removing the financial barriers to cybersecurity compliance. Sponsoring CMMC Day aligns directly with that mission—bringing CGA’s CMMC Gap Assessment Grant program to the attention of defense contractors who need it most.

“CMMC Day is where the CMMC community comes together, and we’re proud to be part of it. As CMMC Phase 2 implementation accelerates, small and mid-sized defense contractors face real urgency. Our CMMC Gap Assessment Grant is designed to help them take that critical first step toward compliance—without the cost being a barrier.” — Rick Dassler, Executive Director, Cyber Grants Alliance

CGA’s CMMC Gap Assessment Grant

Through its CMMC Gap Assessment Grant program, CGA provides qualifying defense contractors with a $5,000 in-kind grant to complete a comprehensive evaluation against all 110 NIST SP 800-171 controls—the foundation of CMMC Level 2 certification. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis to small and medium-sized businesses in the DIB.

Each grant covers:

  • Full evaluation against all 110 NIST SP 800-171 controls across 14 control families
  • Assessment of technical infrastructure, policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Gap identification and prioritization by severity
  • A complete picture of the organization’s current CMMC compliance posture

Approved applicants are invited to book a call with our Grant Advisor, who will help navigate the grant process and coordinate the Gap Assessment with the sponsor.
